Executive Order 17/25 - The Armed Forces of the Commonwealth of Redmont

By the authority vested in me as President under the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Redmont, I hereby establish the Armed Forces of the Commonwealth of Redmont (or the AFCR) to defend our nation and maintain order.

Section 1. The Armed Forces of the Commonwealth of Redmont
  1. The AFCR is hereby created as a defensive and humanitarian military.
  2. The AFCR shall be the only government-sanctioned military force, national or local, allowed to operate within the territory of the Commonwealth of Redmont.
  3. The AFCR has as its goal to defend the Commonwealth of Redmont from foreign and internal attacks and to provide aid in response to humanitarian and natural catastrophes such as earthquakes or tornados.
  4. The Secretary of Homeland Security is to appoint the Army General.
  5. The Army General will have the power to appoint and coordinate Colonels and Captains.
  6. Captains will have the power to appoint Sergeants and coordinate Sergeants and Privates.

Section 2. AFCR Ranking
  1. There shall be 2 rank categories: Enlisted (E) and Officer (O)
  2. There shall be 5 ranks, defined as follows from least senior to most senior:
  3. [E-1] Private
  4. [E-2] Sergeant
  5. [O-1] Captain
  6. [O-2] Colonel
  7. [O-3] Army General

Section 3. Military Law
  1. Congress should elaborate military law to define the limits the AFCR have, in what situations they can be activated, and any further detail.
Transitional Provision
  1. There will be a 1 month transitional period for Congress to elaborate military law and for the Secretary of Homeland Security to appoint the first Army General from the publishing of this Executive Order.
  2. Current Sergeants and Captains within the DHS shall be renamed from now on as Police Sergeants and Police Captains respectively.
