Statement from zLost: “My intention was to improve on Criminal RP, by providing a fun little minigame with a sort-of reward (if you hate the President) that you eventually get if it's done enough times. I believe having more unique crimes, such as assassinations, would help diversify Criminal RP and make it less repetitive. I wasn't prepared for the bill to go up to voting, given that Owner Technofied said that the bill shouldn't go up to voting until necessary changes to wanted points were done for it to be possible. Despite this, the bill still was put up for voting by Speaker Bezzergeezer, and while I disagree with it, there isn't much that can be done at this point other than taking legal action which would be a huge time sink for something that can just be re-proposed in 14 days. Back to the topic, I wasn't able to lobby for the bill because I wasn't prepared, nor did any representative bring up any concerns to the bill that I haven't addressed previously. I do want to point out that the bill does have good support in the #suggestions channel. I hope that assassinations will be implemented in some form in the future, but for now it seems that congress doesn't support the idea itself.”

Statement from Avaneesh2008: “The Constitution Grammar Fix Act just added grammar changes to the law. Our constitution shouldn’t have grammar mistakes and this essentially fixes all of them. However, congress did add another unrelated term to the bill fixing the supermajority definition which was against the intention of the bill to be purely grammatical fix act.”

Statement from Rep. Omegabiebel: “I proposed the bill 'to be safe', because it was unclear if the bill was enacted or not with the idea to just pass it real quick again. End explained that old constitution which drew from the JSA no longer exists, and the new constitution was passed as a law in its own right and has superseded this piece of legislation. I verified his explanation and came to the conclusion that he was probably right, therefore making the function of the bill moot.”

Statement from Avaneesh2008: “In the Judicial Jurisdictions Amendment act, it rearranges how the jurisdictions are written in the constitution for each court. Before, appellate jurisdiction and some powers of the courts were listed in original jurisdiction. This is not correct and could lead to bad interpretation down the line. While it didn’t change anything, it helped make our central document more clearer.”

Statement from RylandW: “My goal for the Redturn Resolution was to undo the mess of Rexit and return Redmont to a state of international diplomacy. Withdrawing from the United Nations cost us all our diplomatic partners, and in such removed opportunities for international roleplay. The upcoming launch of Alexandria has since changed some of these factors by opening up a new country full of economic and roleplay opportunities, filling the void left by Rexit. The original Rexit Resolution was introduced in the 25th Congress, in which I served. Only one representative voted for it — its author — and public opinion showed the decision was unpopular. I was heavily against Rexit, which is why I decided to author the Redturn Resolution during the administration of a pro-United Nations president.”

Statement from Rep. Kaiserin_: “The WRA is an incredibly important and also controversial piece of legislation. It changes the definition of unfair dismissal to be more comprehensive, expanding upon the incredibly barebones definition that we previously had, which essentially let courts decide whatever they wanted in regards to what qualified as "unfair". The law keeps some flexibility for courts because unfair dismissal is such a complex subject, and you couldn’t possibly fit all possible unfair situations into one section. In short, the WRA advanced workers' rights by providing a more comprehensive legal definition of unfair dismissal, making gaining relief from the courts much easier if someone terminates you for no reason, which helps to provide Redmontians with more secure employment.”
