BILL
To

Provide a Basic Income to the Workers of Redmont

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives and Senators in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Universal Basic Income Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) Originally authored by Vice President hugebob23456 and Senator LilDigiVert, Posted by Elainathomas29.

2 - Reasons
(1) There exists no system to protect people from financial hardship, and a Basic Income grants them the protection they need to ensure that they can afford to succeed.
(2) The Basic Income created by the Act applies only to people who hold Professional and Regular jobs to not subsidize systemic unemployment.
(3) The income amount is adjustable once enacted to allow for the Executive to react to an over-stimulated economy or excessive spending deficit.
(4) Wealthy individuals pay more in taxes than they will receive from the Basic Income scheme, therefore the Government is not needlessly providing benefits to those who do not need it.

3 - Terms
(1) For every 15 minutes of playtime, player’s holding “Profession” and “Regular” jobs shall be paid $20 from the DCGovernment balance. This will not stack with other salaries. The Executive may choose to increase or decrease the disbursement amount, but may not go under $10/15 mins.
(a) Players who have joined the server less than two weeks ago shall receive $15/15min from the DCGovernment balance, unless otherwise receiving a wage from another occupation.
(2) Any playtime accumulated before the passage of this bill will not result in the player receiving any funds. Funding disbursement intervals begin when the bill goes into effect.

You miss spelled "UBI" *Welfare
Also "Provide a Basic Income to the Workers of Redmont" You mean give money to the people that don't have a job

This plan only gives money to people with jobs O.O

Aye - Many people will disagree with me but I do believe that UBI is a working thing and that we'd better keep it.

(3) This Act has been authored by Representative lcn.
(4) This act has been co-sponsored by Senator xEndeavour.

2- Reasons
