BILL
TO
Allow for the auctioning of abandoned impounded vehicles

The people of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
  1. This Act may be cited as the “Abandoned Impound Auction Act.”
  2. This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
  3. This Bill was authored by Representative ElainaThomas29
  4. This Bill was written in collaboration with DoJ Secretary and DEC Deputy Secretary JoanM999, DEC Secretary Zab, and DoJ Deputy Secretary ElainaThomas29.

2 - Reasons
  1. Some vehicles after being impounded are left in the DoJ impound for months on end, never picked up and claimed.

3 – Terms

1. A vehicle that has not been claimed and picked up by its owner within one month of impound will be deemed an “abandoned impound.”
2. All abandoned impounds will be put up for auction by the DoJ in the DC Bid discord and given to the highest bidding winner.
3. With the exception of an outside purchaser who opts to pay double the starting bid to obtain the vehicle as follows:
a) An outside purchaser will purchase cars for $2,000 per car.
b) An outside purchaser will purchase bikes for $1,000 per bike.
c) An outside purchaser will purchase racing cars for $5,000 per racing car.

4. All money earned from the auction will go to the Government.
