A
BILL
To

prevent players from logging on for only a short bit in order to prevent their properties from being evicted due to inactvity.

The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Activity Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) The Act has been co-sponsored by: 218218Consumer
(4) The Act was recommended by Taelor

2 - Reasons
(1) There are some players who log on for less than 1 minute a month in order to prevent their properties from being evicted. This is unfair to players who are actively playing and who could be benefiting from those plots; rental or purchased.
(2) There is ambiguity in elections

3 - Definition
(1) An Active player has 6 or more hours of active play time per month, unless otherwise provided.

A
BILL
TO

Amend the Constitution

The people of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the "XLDV Voting Rights Act"
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Bill was authored by President LilDigiVert & Rep. xLayzur
(4) This Bill was co-sponsored by Speaker Mhadsher101

2 - Reasons
  1. The Activity Act defines an “active player” as someone who has 4 hours of playtime in the last 30 days. As the rest of the government uses this definition (see: DCT evictions), the rest of the active player base should have the right to vote at 4 hours. The status quo infringes on an active player’s freedom of political communication.
  2. In the player base of a post-lockdown world, the turnout has been steadily decreasing. This bill would inherently increase the amount of stakeholders involved in the political process.
  3. This bill would engage new players to be more involved in the political process from the start of their time on DC. 12 hours is an intimidating amount of playtime to a person who just joined.
  4. The Do-Not-Contact list operates on the assumption that anyone under 4 hours is a “new player” and thus not eligible to participate in the political process. Once that player hits the 4 hours benchmark, the status quo mandates that they wait 8 hours before they can do anything with their right to participate in the immersive political experience in Redmont.
  5. This is DemocracyCraft. All active players should be allowed to participate in our democracy.
3 - Constitutional Amendment

II. The right to vote in elections and referendums, provided the player has:
a. Been online within 1 month as the votes are counted.
b. Accrued 12 or more hours of playtime in the last 30 days.
to

b. Accrued 6 or more hours of playtime in the last 30 days.

4. Activity Act

(1) An Active player has 4 or more hours of active playtime per month unless otherwise provided.

I pledge allegiance, uh, to my Grandma
For that banana pudding, our piece of Americana
Our apple pie was supplied through Arm and Hammer
Straight out the kitchen, shh don't wake Nana
Built a republic, that still stands
I'm trying to lead a nation, to leave to my little mans
Or my daughter, so I'm boiling this water
The scales was lopsided, I'm just restoring order
Hold up, here comes grandma, what's up YaYa?
What's that smell? Oh I'm just boiling some aqua
No papa, bad Santa
The streets raised me, pardon my bad manners
I got my liberty, chopping grams up
Street justice, I pray God understand us
I pledge allegiance to all the scramblers
This is the Star Spangled Banner
