To
Amend the Constitution

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Allegiance Amendment Act .'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by Rep. shadownba.
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by Rep. Aladeen22

2 - Reasons
(1) We do not recognize other foreign nations, so it shouldn’t matter if anyone has a position in another nation.
(2) Foreign nations are unrelated to the Commonwealth of Redmont, players should be allowed to hold a position in another Government while having one in Redmont.

3 - Amendment
  1. Section III of the Allegiance Act shall be amended from: In order to serve as a Senior Government Official, the office holder must not hold an office as a Senior Government Official in a foreign state concurrently.

In order to serve as a Senior Government Official, the office holder must not hold an office as a Senior Government Official in a foreign state that the Commonwealth of Redmont officially recognizes or has diplomatic relations with.

4 - Senior Government Official
(1) A Senior Government Official is defined as any of the following:
  • An elected member in the State Legislature
  • A member of the Supreme Court
  • A member of the Cabinet
  • A Chief Executive of the Executive Branch

Any individual accused of violating the Allegiance Act due to holding an office in a country or entity not officially recognized by the Commonwealth of Redmont shall be granted a full pardon under this Act. This provision applies retroactively and protects against future allegations as long as the foreign entity remains unrecognized by the Commonwealth.
