To
Clarify the Collection of Animal Murder Logs and Amend the Judicial Standards Act
The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Animal Murder Investigations Act"
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act is authored by President Westray with the approval of Secretary LilNickiVert to address the ongoing mass animal murder crisis.
(4) This Act is co-sponsored by MilkCrack
2 - Purpose
(1) In the past, police officers have requested logs without a warrant in regards to animal murders. However recently, there has been confusion around whether or not a warrant is required - this confusion has led to police officers now requesting warrants.
(2) The purpose of warrants is to obtain information that invades the privacy of citizens (such as command history, company logs, inventories, assets, etc.) however obtaining the log of an animal murder does not invade any sort of privacy.
(3) Just as murder logs are accessible without a warrant, animal logs should be as well.
3 - Collection of Murder Logs
(1) Logs for murder can be accessed without a warrant by the Department of Justice.
(2) Logs for animal murder can be accessed without a warrant by the Department of Justice.
(a) Sergeants and above, can request that staff provide screenshots of animal murders to be utilized in criminal charges.
