To
Propose a Budget for the Month of December
BILL
To
Propose a Budget for the Month of December
The people of DemocracyCraft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
(1) Short Title and Enactment
a. This Act may be cited as the "December 2022 Budget Proposal Act."
b. This Act shall be enacted immediately after signing.
c. This Bill is authored by Representative ElainaThomas29 and has been co-sponsored by Representative RandomIntruder.
(2) Notes
a. This is by no means an exhaustive list of all expenses, as salaries are impossible to track with our current plugins;
b. Commissions are included;
c. All government departments, the Legislative branch, and the Judicial branch will receive a monthly budget;
d. The judicial budget does not include court payouts and fines.
e. The Government is now forecasting fines no longer come out of the main “DCGovernment” balance and instead come out of the appropriate Department budget.
f. The Government has now transitioned from automated salaries/wages to commission-based payment for all Government Departments excluding the Department of Justice and Department of Health.
(3) Departments will be apportioned the following from the Government Balance for the month of December:
a. Department of Justice (DOJ) $13,000;
b. Department of Commerce (DOC): $115,000;
c. Department of Education (DOE): $33,500;
d. Department of Public Affairs (DPA): $200,000;
e. Department of Construction and Transport (DCT) $95,000;
f. Department of Health (DOH): $12,500;
g. Department of Interior (DOI): $200,000;
h. Department of State (DOS): $150,000;
i. Department of Legal Affairs (DLA): $20,000
(4) Branches and Additional Entities will be apportioned the following from the Government Balance for the month of December:
a. The Legislature (LEG); $5,000
b. The Judiciary (JUD); $26,000
d. The Redmont Bar Association (RBA); $3,000
(5) Budget Tracking
In the #budget channel, all departments, branches, and additional entities will be required to report any spending over a certain threshold:
a. DOJ, report all spending over $0;
b. DOC, report all spending over $0;
c. DOE, report all spending over $0;
d. DPA, report all spending over $0;
e. DCT, report all spending over $0;
f. DOH, report all spending over $0;
g. DOI, report all spending over $0;
h. DOS, report all spending over $0;
i. DLA, report all spending over $0;
j. LEG, report all spending over $0;
k. JUD, report all spending over $0; and
l. RBA, report all spending over $0.
(6) Fiscal Accounts
All Departments shall have a minecraft account, which shall be apportioned as the monthly budget in its balance. The names of the accounts shall be:
DCGovernmentDOJ;
DCGovernmentDOC;
DCGovernmentDOE (pending creation, so Dept. Education budget will be appropriated in the Dept. Commerce account)
DCGovernmentDPA;
DCGovernmentDCT;
DCGovernmentDH;
DCGovernmentDOI;
DCGovernmentDS;
DCGovernmentLEG;
DCGovernmentJUD; and
DCGovernmentDLA
The Redmont Bar Association does not have an account but its expenditures will be tracked in the budget channel accordingly. The Department of Legal Affairs once it receives a minecraft account will have its amount appropriated there.
In the event a budget addition is approved, the correct money will be apportioned.
