BILL
TO
Punish trespassing into the bank’s vault

The people of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
  1. This Act may be cited as the “Bank Trespass Act.”
  2. This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
  3. This Bill was authored by Representative ElainaThomas29 with help from Senator Ansgard_Ist.
  4. This Bill was written in collaboration with DoJ Secretary JoanM999 and DoJ Deputy Secretary ElainaThomas29.

2 - Reasons
  1. Currently the only law that exists in regard to the bank is the punishment for robbery (see 13.14 - Bank Robbery).
  2. There is nothing to severely punish those that trespass into the bank’s vault beyond the normal law that exists for trespassing (see 13.6 - Trespassing).
  3. Officers are struggling with people who may be trespassing into the vault without actually robbing anything from the bank, resulting in a very small punishment for the crime, this Bill aims to fix that.

3 – Terms
  1. A person who trespasses into the bank’s vault will be charged as follows:
    1. First Offence: $100 fine and 10 minutes jail time
    2. Second Offence: $200 fine and 20 minutes jail time
    3. Third Offence and After: $300 fine and 25 minutes jail time
