To
Amend the Legislative Standards Act​

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Bill Amendment Act'.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by Representative lcn.
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by (Looking for co-sponsors).

2 - Reasons
(1) When a bill amends multiple pieces of legislation, it creates problems as to where the bill should be moved to, and is often posted as its own separate act. This can make issues when searching through the Acts of Congress for laws.
(2) To update the law.

3 - Amendment
(1) The Legislative Standards Act shall be amended as follows:

Under 8 - Bills, add:

(6) A bill can only amend one piece of legislation.

Under 20 - Contempt of Congress, change:

(1) The House of Representatives, Senate, or any committee may vote to hold a person "in contempt" by a majority vote. The Speaker will then report the incident to the Department of Justice Homeland Security to be actioned.
