Give Capitol Jurisdiction and Oversight to Congress​

The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Congressional Jurisdiction Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.

2 - Purpose
Congress should be responsible for its place of work as all government departments are responsible for their place of work in addition congress should be able to make their own rules and decide what to do and what not to do on the Capitol Buildings Plot.

3 - Jurisdiction and Process
  1. The Capitol Building:
(1)The Capitol building will be under the jurisdiction of congress and will only be modified, expanded or adjusted with Congressional approval; this includes modifications to the interior layout and the exterior design of the building.

(2)Hallways and Other Public spaces may be decorated by the DCT with congressional approval.

(3)Congress May vote to change (building structure/layout) the Capitol building; this will be executed by the DCT if so.
(May require Senior Staff Administration Approval)

  1. The Running of the Capitol:
The Capitol will be run by Congress and actions will be executed by the Office of the Speaker.
The Speaker will represent Congress and the Office of Speaker on these matters.
This includes but is not limited to:
(1)Office Allocation

(2)Chamber Seating Allocation

(3) Coordination on any changes to the Capitol will be run through the Speakers office as the representative body of the congress, major decisions will need to be voted on.

(4) Hallway or public space decorating with the cooperation and assistance of the DCT.

Note:
Congress members may motion to recognise a situation as a major decision if this is done voting will be held on the matter.

all votes regarding this bill require a 2/3s Majority in each chamber to pass
