BILL

To enable Congressional Questions Time

The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Congressional Questions Time Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.

2-Purpose and Functionality
a)The Purpose of Congressional questions time is a chance for members of Congress to ask Secretaries questions on what future plans they have for their department and how they plan to carry out these plans/actions.

b)To ensure transparency and accountability all questions times must be recorded and written down by the Clerk in a document or by another congressional official if the Clerk is unavailable, These documents should be made available to the general public at the earliest possible time

c) 1)There must be a minimum of Three representatives in attendance at each question time and the most Senior Member will act as Chair of the Committee overseeing questions time.

c) 2)If all representatives are of equal rank they must decide amongst themselves who will chair the question time. All representatives in attendance may vote on this.

Vetoed - Ambiguity in the attendance of secretaries. Will this be through a subpoena? Would this be a hearing rather than a question time?

No it’s to get updates and progress reports from. Cabinet to congress on an official setting

Not against the bill, it just needs to be clarified in the next iteration of the bill. Would this not be covered in the SOTG report as well?

Not really the SoTG doesn’t give very mainly details and is quite irregular it doesn’t give us a chance to hold people to account and ask questions in a formal session in game that’s not over discord

The bill is not clear in it's intent.

- Will all secretaries be required to attend? How often? What power will congress have in summoning them?
- Are secretaries providing a summary of their department's work like they do in the SOTG report or are they being questioned on what they release in there?
