BILL
To
Codify and establish fundamental diplomatic law.
The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Diplomacy Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) Co-written by Senator Ansgard.
2 - Reasons
To expand on diplomatic relation powers.
3 - Diplomatic Immunity
(1) Diplomats do not enjoy legal immunity.
a. Foreign representatives are required to respect Redmont laws and the lawful directions of police.
b. Diplomats may be expelled by the President of Redmont.
c. Diplomatic Immunity may be revoked by the nation of origin.
4 - Embassies
(1) The Department of State may designate certain land as an Embassy, representing a foreign nation.
a. Land is to be provided to the hosted nation at the cost of the Redmont Government in close proximity to the Capitol.
b. The Redmont Government is not responsible for any infrastructure on the plot.
c. Each foreign nation is afforded one designated embassy.
d. Embassy territory remains the territory of Redmont.
(2) Embassies do not enjoy diplomatic protections of any form.
5 - Ambassadors
(1) Will be paid a salary and have an in-game role.
(2) Will be a Principal Officer.
