Codify the Responsibilities of Emergency Services​

The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Emergency Services Act”
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) Authored by Representative Westray

2 - Purpose
(1) This bill establishes a codified duty of care that is expected of Departments who fulfill functions that relate to public safety.

3 - Classification
(1) The Department of Justice shall be considered a provider of an “Emergency Service”, vital to public order.
(2) The Department of Health shall be considered a provider of an “Emergency Service”, vital to public health.

4 - Service Obligations
(1) The Department of Justice is obligated to ensure the laws are enforced and applied to every individual equally.
(2) The Department of Health cannot deny any individual their treatment, unless they refuse to pay or are violating a medical law.

5 - Service Protections
(1) Employees of an Emergency Service provider cannot refuse to work or ignore the duties of their job.
(2) Unions or any other organized group cannot engage in conduct that encourages obstruction of an Emergency Service.
(3) The following shall be added to the laws:
Obstruction of an Emergency Service
An entity who has conspired to or engaged in obstructing functions vital to public safety.
Per Offence: Up to $4000 Fine.
