Executive Order No. 01/2025
Establishing the Presidential Press Corps (PPC)By the authority vested in me as President of the Commonwealth of Redmont, and in recognition of the paramount importance of transparency, accountability, and citizen engagement in governance, I hereby establish the Presidential Press Corps (PPC) as the principal body for communication between the President's Office and the people of this Commonwealth. This Order shall serve to promote independent journalism, foster open dialogue, and ensure the active participation of citizens in shaping the policies that govern them.
Section 1: Purpose
The Presidential Press Corps (PPC) is established to fulfill the following purposes:- To serve as the official channel for disseminating accurate and timely information regarding the actions, decisions, and policies of the President’s Office.
- To promote the principles of independent journalism by creating an environment where the press may operate freely, responsibly, and without undue interference.
- To enhance public trust in government by ensuring that communication between the President's Office and the people remains transparent, direct, and accessible.
- To empower citizens to engage actively in governance through regular polling, feedback mechanisms, and opportunities to voice their perspectives on public policy.
Section 2: Establishment of the Presidential Press Corps (PPC)
- Creation and Oversight
a. The Presidential Press Corps is hereby established as an executive body under the direct authority of the Office of the President.
b. The PPC shall be overseen by the Press Secretary, who shall be appointed by the President and serve as the chief officer responsible for its operations.
- Responsibilities
a. The PPC shall organize and conduct regular press briefings, publish updates on governmental activities, and facilitate ongoing dialogue between the President and the citizens of the Commonwealth.
b. The PPC shall oversee efforts to engage citizens in governance, including conducting policy polls, collecting public feedback, and publishing reports on the government's transparency and responsiveness to public concerns.
Section 3: Citizen Engagement and Polling
- Polling Mechanisms
a. The PPC shall utilize Google Forms as the primary platform for conducting polls and collecting feedback from citizens on policy decisions, planning initiatives, and governance priorities.
b. Polls shall be conducted on a rolling basis, ensuring that citizens may provide input at any time without being restricted to a fixed schedule.
c. Poll results shall be compiled, analyzed, and published regularly to inform the public and guide the President in decision-making.
- Feedback Collection
a. Citizens may submit policy suggestions, event ideas, or concerns directly to the PPC through designated Google Forms.
b. Submissions garnering significant public support, as determined by a clear majority or notable engagement metrics, shall be escalated for review by the Press Secretary and subsequently presented to the President.
Section 4: Duties and Responsibilities of the PPC
The Presidential Press Corps shall perform the following duties:- Press Briefings: Organize and conduct regular press briefings to update the public on government actions, policy initiatives, and other matters of national importance.
- Policy Polling: Facilitate continuous polling on proposed and existing policies, ensuring that the voices of citizens are heard and reflected in governance.
- Media Relations: Act as the liaison between the President's Office and independent journalists, ensuring fair access to information and promoting diverse perspectives in media coverage.
Section 5: Enactment
This Executive Order shall take effect immediately and shall remain in force until amended or revoked by subsequent executive action."One Vision, One Purpose, One Dream."
