  • Approval of debate formats, including topics, time allocation, and rules for candidates.
  • Selection of impartial moderators, subject to the approval of the Commission’s Advisory Committee.
  • Ensuring public accessibility to all debate events, including debates via the designated debate channel and publicly available recordings for in-game or oral debates.
(B) DEBATE COMMISSION LEADERSHIP
The Commission shall be led by an Advisory Committee, consisting of the following members:
  • A Chair, appointed by the Department of Public Affairs (DPA), who shall act as the principal organizer and manager of all debates.
  • The DPA Secretary, who may appoint additional advisors with experience in media, law, or public affairs as deemed necessary.

The Commission may work in conjunction with private media organizations to ensure wide dissemination of debate content across the Commonwealth.
