Redundant Executive Order 31/21 - Hamilton Mayor

I, _Austin27_, President of the Commonwealth of Redmont,
hereby order the following Executive Order:​

(1) Establish the following as the role of the Mayor of Hamilton and in addition to such, formally establish candidate requirements in order to run for Mayor.

(2) The Hamilton City Mayor shall act purely as an advisor to Cabinet & the President as well as a figurehead for Hamilton City. The Mayor will not receive any additional powers other than the ones outlined in this Executive Order. The Mayor will interact directly with cabinet via way of proposals and discussions via cabinet meetings.

(3) The Hamilton City Mayor will be invited to attend cabinet meetings at the discretion of the President unless such meeting pertains to a topic that does not need to involve local government.

(4) The Hamilton City Mayor will have one main goal, to communicate concerns from the citizens of Hamilton to Cabinet & the President. They will do this via way of proposals issued in the Hamilton City discord, after which the Secretary of State will put them up for vote in cabinet where they must reach a majority in order to pass.

(5) The Hamilton City Mayor will retain an in game Mayor role just as all town Mayors do and a discord role as well as be granted access to the Department of State discord to communicate with the Secretary of State.

(6) The Hamilton City Mayor will be elected every 2 months. The electoral period will last for a total of 3 days - 24 hours for declarations and 48 hours for voting. The elections will be hosted on the forums as per usual and will be facilitated by the Department of State.

(7) Candidates for Mayor of Hamilton must meet the following requirements by the time votation opens in order to be added to the ballot:

• Has accrued 192 hours of playtime prior to declaring their intent to contest the election on the forums.
• Is an active participant in the community, in-game, on discord, and on the forums.
• Is not the current President, Vice President, member of Cabinet, member of Congress, an existing Mayor or Judge.
