Vetoed Fair Sales Act June 2021

To
Establish Fair Sales Regulations

The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title/Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Fair Sales Act June 2021”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been co-written by Rep.Krix
(4) This Act is hereby sponsored by: Rep. Krix and Rep. Antatro

2 - Reasoning
(1) Currently there are no legal repercussions for members of the public who sell to businesses' chests that are intended for contracted suppliers.

(2) Business Owners have reported mass quantities of resources being sold to them through their supply chests by members of the public which were intended solely to be used for suppliers.

3 - DEC Supply Room Application
(1) Businesses may operate supply rooms protected under this act through a DEC Protected Supply Room Application.

(2) The Application shall be as follows:

<List of Contracted Suppliers>
<Evidence of either: (a) employee list; or (b) work agreement with each employee>

(2a) Work agreements may be provided in the forms of: (a) an in-game or Discord screenshot; (b) a Google Document outlining the agreement signed by both parties; or (c) a pdf outlining the agreement signed by both parties

(3) Businesses may amend their contracted supplier list by informing the DEC through opening a DEC Ticket on Discord or by other means at the discretion of the DEC.

(5) Selling to the sell chests of a Business within a Protected Supply Room if you are not a contracted supplier that the DEC has been made aware of is illegal.

(6) In order to ensure the Public Are made aware of which rooms are Protected Supply Rooms a sign must be placed on entrances to the Supply Room Stating. “Protected Supply Room” and “Only Contracted Suppliers Allowed” These signs must be included in the DEC Protected Supply Room Application.

4 - Punishments
(1) The Punishments for illegally entering a Protected Supply Room are as follows:
First Offence: 200$ Fine + Money gained from reselling illegally refunded to the business.
Second Offence: 400$ Fine + Money gained from reselling illegally refunded to the business.
Third Offence: 600$ Fine + Money gained from reselling illegally refunded to the business. + 5 minutes of Jail Time
All Subsequent Offences: 800$ Fine + Money gained from reselling illegally refunded to the business. + 10 minutes of Jail Time.

This bill has been vetoed for the following reason(s): Redundant, businesses are fully within their right to place a "No Trespassing" sign at the entrance to supply rooms. Any business unaware of or unwilling to use trespassing laws is unlikely to make use of this program.
