Provide a spring cleaning program & Rescind the Enable the Purge Act​

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Rescind the Enable the Purge Act.'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by: Rep. GoldBlooded and Sen. Nacholebraa
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by: Sen. xLayzur

2 - Reasons
(1) The previous bill created in 2022 established a system of hosting a purge event. However, the bill’s structure and outline limited it and did not allow the Executive to suspend laws.

3 - Terms
(1) The government may order the temporary withdrawal of the enforcement of specific laws at the discretion of the executive branch through the following processes;
(a) The President will notify the Speaker and the President of the Senate that the Department of Public Affairs will hold a ‘Purge Event.’
(b) Upon the notification of Congress, the executive will be required to provide notice to the public of the event with a minimum of 1 week(s) notice.

4 - Exempt Laws
(1) During the event, a handful of laws shall not be allowed to be violated. This ensures the government's safe and secure running is not infringed upon.
(2) All laws listed under section(s) ‘15.0 - Court, Trials, and Police’ and ‘16.0 - Corruption, Government, & Elections’ shall be considered exempt from the purge event.
(3) Should the executive wish to add further exempt laws, they will have to notify Congress as outlined in section 4.

5 - Rescind
(1) Act of Congress - Enable the Purge Act is rescinded.
