Outlaw Impersonation of a government official illegal​

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Impersonation act”
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Bill was penned by representative BubbaRC with approval from DOJ secretary JoanM999

2 - Reasoning
It is technically legal to impersonate a government official right now leading to all sorts of trouble

3 - Crime
(1) under miscellaneous laws a new law shall be created named "impersonation of a government official"
(a) impersonation of a government official shall be defined as "the act of pretending to be a government official"
(b) it shall be punished as follows "all punishments shall be fined for no more than $1,000 and have no more than 10 minutes jail time

This bill has been vetoed and has failed to become law for the following reasons:

Unclear structure. 'no more than $1,000' allows officers to fine any amount less than $1,000. In theory an officer could fine their friend $-10,000 and steal the entire DOJ balance. Please look at other legislation creating crimes for reference of how such should be structured.​
