To
Amend the Wages Act
The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Judicial Remuneration Act.'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been co-sponsored by: Sen. Milqy, Rep. Layzur
(4) This Act was authored by: Speaker xEndeavour
2 - Reasons
(1) The new Wages Act nullified an executive order which provided extra commission-base remuneration to Judges.
(2) Magistrates, Judges, and Justices spend a significant amount of time out of game summoning, presiding over cases, and analysing the facts of a case and the law to return a verdict.
3 - Case Commission
(1) Case commissions will be managed by the Judiciary and will be granted at the following rates for the duration of each case they are presiding over:
(2) Justice: $30 per day;
(3) Judge: $25 per day;
(4) Magistrate: $20 per day;
(5) Payments are made according to the time zone of the individual dispensing the funds.
(6) Payments will be made following a case verdict.
4 - Backpay
(1) Any cases not previously remunerated for will be eligible for case commission under this act, within the bounds of the Judicial Budget.
