A
BILL
TO
Clarify Gun Control

The people of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
1 - Short Title and Enactment
  1. This Act may be cited as the “LDV Small Arms Control Act”
  2. This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
  3. This Bill was authored by Rep. LilDigiVert & Rep. Eastray_
  4. This Bill was co-sponsored by Rep. Eastray_

2 - Reasons

Everybody want world peace
'Til your niece get shot in the dome-piece
Then you go and buy your own piece
Hopin' it'll help you find your own peace
Bring light to what they don't see
Auntie cryin' on the concrete
Talkin' to dispatcher then the phone beep
On the other line was the homies
Told her that you ain't comin' home, see
When she heard the news it hurt her bone-deep
Caught with the rifle with the long reach
Just another cycle of the lonely
All growin' up in environment
Where doin' crime the requirement
They send us off to prison for retirement
Hopefully LilDigiVert will inspire them

3 - Reasons

  1. Promotes the Armourer profession
  2. Confiscates illegally sold arms, decreasing the amount of criminal-owned firearms in circulation.
  3. Allows the DoJ to stockpile on weaponry, and can supply a potential DoJ-version of the bank vault.

4 - Illegal Arms Dealing

1) A new crime, “Illegal Arms Deal”, shall be defined as “Individuals who are not armourers are guilty of trading weapons to other people (Only armourers may trade weaponry, excluding WOMDs, to other players).”

First offense:
  • $20 for each unit.
  • Confiscation of the trading weaponry/removes chest shops.
Second offense:
  • $40 for each unit.
  • Confiscation of the trading weaponry/removes chest shops.
Third offense:
  • $60 for each unit.
  • Confiscation of the trading weaponry/removes chest shops.
Exceptions:
  • A business/company may trade weaponry (except WOMDs) to other players as long as they are able to prove that an armourer has consented to work for them as an employee.
  • The owner of the business/company shall be fully liable for any violations to this law.

5 - Possession Without a License

2) A new crime, “Illegal weaponry possession”, shall be defined as “A player is guilty of owning weaponry without a gun license at the time of arrest.” An armourer without a firearm license can still own guns (except WoMDs), but is not allowed to trade them to other players under the “Illegal Arms Deal” law until their license revocation is successfully appealed.

Per offence:
  • $50 for each unit
  • Confiscation of the weaponry.
