Amend the Constitution​

The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “President-Elect Confirmation of Secretaries Amendment Act” or “PECS Amendment Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) Authored by Representative 218218Consumer

2 - Reasons for Proposal
Allowing a president-elect to nominate and confirm their secretaries before inauguration guarantees a smooth transition of power.

3 - Terms
“Secretaries are nominated by the President and approved by the Senate, continuing to serve at the pleasure of the President. A Secretary may be removed from office should they be impeached by the House and removed from office by the Senate.”

shall be changed to:

“Secretaries are nominated by the President and approved by the Senate, continuing to serve at the pleasure of the President. A Secretary may be removed from office should they be impeached by the House and removed from office by the Senate.

President-elects may nominate Secretaries, still approved by the Senate, preceding their inauguration. These nominees may only take office as Secretaries following the inauguration of the President-elect.

4 - Conditions of Passage
This amendment shall only be in effect if the Presidential Inauguration Amendment passes.
