Establish Sectoral Grants​

The citizens of Oakridge, through their elected Representatives in the Town-Council and the force of law ordained to that Town-Council by the people through the constitution of Oakridge, do hereby enact the following provisions into the by-laws:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Sectoral Grant Act'.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by Head of Commerce lcn.
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by (Looking for co-sponsors).

2- Reasons
(1) To encourage sector-specific economic growth.
(2) To support the town industry.

3- Sectoral Grants
(1) A new type of grant shall be established, known as 'Sectoral Grants'.
(2) These grants subsidize certain sectors in the economy.
(3) These grants shall be added to the Oakridge Business Grants page.

4- Sectoral Grant
(1) The Sectoral Grant will provide a maximum of $5,000 to fund start-ups, advancements, and innovation within specific industries. The grant intends to encourage sector-specific growth to lead sectoral transformation and progress.
(2) Eligibility requirements:
(a) The applicant must be a resident of Oakridge.
(b) The applicant must own a business and/or shop located in Oakridge in one of the following industries:
(i) Lumber;
(ii) Newspaper/media;
(iii) Food service;
(iv) Arts;
(v) Arms;
(vi) Automotive;
(vii) Manufacturing.
