STATE OF THE COMMONWEALTH
The purpose of the State of the Commonwealth Reports is to increase Cabinet transparency and provide an insight into the happenings of the Government. This information is provided in good faith and although it may be listed here as a goal, it may not occur. This report simply outlines Government achievements, plans, and goals.

DEPARTMENT AND CABINET ACTIVITY
Department of State (DOS)
Achievements in July:
The Department has conducted six elections over the course of this month, all while successfully implementing the in-game voting system. The Department has also conducted a number of audits of federal departments, and have worked hard to publish this very State of the Commonwealth!
Goals for August:
The Department will continue to conduct elections efficiently and properly starting with the Willow Council and Mayor elections and ending the month with Oakridge Council elections. Audits will continue and we will publish another State of the Commonwealth!

Department of Construction & Transport (DCT)
Achievements in July:
- Hired two new employees
- Finished Police Station (two year old project!)
- Laid foundations for Police Station
- Assigned Constructor to Revcatraz interior
- Redone Paste Requests format
- Redone Evictions notices in game
Goals for August:
- A review into how eviction auctions work, and distributing that workload
- Finish Revcatraz (according to plan, hopefully!)
- Review paste fees
- Look into new projects

A lot of structural changes, quite excited to see all of them complete!
Department of Health (DOH)
Achievements in July:
- We have implemented a new "Epidemiologist" job that will help with the Department of Health's mission to provide preventative care as well as primary care.
- We have hired multiple new Medical Specialists to ensure that the Department can operate efficiently from an upper management perspective.
- We have replaced the old health plugin with a new one. (The plugin is in the final stages of testing and will hopefully be released this week!!)
Goals for August:
- Now with the new backend work done for our updated health plugin, we plan to roll out brand new diseases in batches hopefully once a week.
- We plan to release our first wave of disease reports.
- We plan to retexture cures and reimplement vaccinations. (they were previously a feature but were removed due to technical limitations... our new plugin now has the capacity to support them again!!)
- We plan to work towards implementing polices in line with the new healthcare executive order.

Department of Commerce (DOC)
Achievements in July:
Actually started Taxing Financial Institutions, hired around 5 people so we can deal with stuff more on time, cut down on discord tickets (today we only had 1 total) which is a lot better than the 13 we used to have.
Goals for August:
More Hiring, Economic Reports, Faster Response times.
Approximate Funds Spent:
41,662.14 7/1-7/31 (This is including grants which I do not believe come out of our budget, but still we spent the money)
Department of the Interior (DOI)
Achievements in July:
- Hired more rangers and supply officers
- (Hopefully) solved the conflicts inside the departments that appeared during last secretary's time
Goals for August:
- Restart of the tender program.
- Up-to-date with payments.
- More transparency. Telling people what is being done behind the scenes.
- Promoting the animal shelter and the zoo.
- Figure out ways to incentivize rangers and supply officers to be more active.

Department of Public Affairs (DPA)
Achievements in July:
We introduced a Tier system for events, along with a set payment for event coordinators. This helps a lot with determining how much Event Coordinators get paid (previously it was left up to the secretary)
We also introduced specialized Manager positions in the department, which are meant to guide low level employees on specific tasks they are trying to complete. Along with this we also set in stone a new hiring process for Managers.
We also added a new job to the department, Event Designer. Their role is to build maps for events at the request of Event Coordinators.
Goals for August:
Two massive large-scale events, YouTube videos, social media posts, standard events as usual, additional hires, a new job for the Media side, and a guide for the Media side.

Department of Education (DOE)
Achievements in July:
Hiring and promoting activity for guides, fixing up the department discord and working on ease of access for department information, releasing new batches of recipes and updating outdated or inconsistent recipes,
Goals for August:
More guide hires, more archivist assignments, more updated exams/guides, more mason recipes pertaining to the new copper recipes (turning them back into materials, same with Iron items), potentially new buffs, updating university and adding to the museum.

$97,457.50 for 2 Bi-Weekly Paychecks
Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
Achievements in July:
So far one recruit has been promoted to police officer, and one recruit is preparing to transition to Police Officer. Technofied made some changes in regards to the organization of the DHS Discord server channels.
Goals for August:
There is an oncoming event going on with the DPA which allows DHS officers to participate in a special event to follow the zombie infection lore.
Approximate Funds Spent:
Approximately $9000 spent from DHS account (excluding court orders.)
Department of Justice (DOJ)
Achievements in July:
New Mentorship system between Associates and Assistant Prosecutors, updated policy to remove the IG’s office since it was redundant. Lost a couple employees, improved case benefits for investigators.
Goals for August:
(Hopefully) more employees, better quality cases.
