STATE OF THE COMMONWEALTH

The purpose of the State of the Commonwealth Report is to increase Cabinet transparency and provide an insight into the happenings of the Government. This information is provided in good faith and although it may be listed here as a goal, it may not occur. This report simply outlines Government achievements, plans, and goals.

DEPARTMENT AND CABINET ACTIVITY

Department of State (DOS)

Achievements in November:

- Developed a new SOTC system, being implemented with this SOTC
- Hired new Auditors and a new Election Manager
- Re-started the Audit Archive project
- Increased transparency with an Election Schedule
- Updated information/resource channels in the discord
- Changed political party registration and deregistration requirements
- Planning the National Census

Goals for December:
- Redmont's 5th National Census
- December town elections
- Completion of the Audit Archive project
- December Audits
- November SOTC
- Declassified Documents

Approximate Funds Spent:

Department of Construction & Transport (DCT)

Achievements in November:

- Updated eviction information to reflect changes made.
- Some eviction auctions were done.
- Addition of revstalls in NBD area.

Goals for December:
- Increased activity in the Inspection sector.
- Implementing a new eviction auction process.

Approximate Funds Spent:

Department of Health (DOH)

Achievements in November:

List of our accomplishments so far-
- Tweaked the new plugin values.
- Replaced all copyrighted cure names with generic cure names.
- Increased commissions for Doctors.
- Unified all treatment costs to be $25.
- Made it so that Medicare is easier to use.
- Replaced Training, that would often take anywhere from 15 minutes to 1 hour, to a self-training system, much like DHS'.
- Created and updated the Self-Training Guide for Trainee Doctors, The MS Guide, The Epidemiology Guides.
- Created a new branch of DoH - Epidemiology.
- Updated DoH policies to reflect changes in the plugin and new self-training system.
- Updated DoH policies on the hospital signs at the Reveille Main Hospital.
- Updated the Trainee Doctor exam to reflect changes from the new health plugin.
- Rebranded the old Paramedics lockers to Fire/Water Therapy Room, so that players have a place to bring their temperature up/down.
- Updated the hospital stock thanks to DoI.Replaced killed hospital animals thanks to DoI.
- Brought back the milk machine and placed a bucket recycling machine next to it.
- Increased pay for Medical Specialists (MS have been historically underpaid, I matched DoE's management training pay with this, even though in DoH you and the Trainee both have to be in-game for the evaluation and it often takes more than half an hour.)

Goals for December:
Upcoming plans-
- Creating and expanding the private healthcare sector, by bringing the Pharmacy&Pharmacist Update to life.
-Encouraging the Epidemiology Team to focus on creating pharmaceutical medicines that will aid to push the Pharmacy Update.
-Create DoH policies for Pharmacies and Pharmacists.
-Create 5 Pharmacies near spawn that players will be able to rent out from DoH, and have their Pharmacy there (Collab with DCT).
-Hiring more MS and Epidemiologists.
-Tweaking some diseases a bit more, once I have enough data.
-Working with Staff to bring quality of life updates, if need be.

Department of Commerce (DOC)

Achievements in November:

- Reformed grants to use the new grant pool system
- Reformed the billboard application process, lowered prices
- Released October 2024 CPI
- Advised the President to reform GPS registration through Executive order, which has been enacted

Goals for December:
Focus and reform on compliance side of the department, along with registrations.

Department of the Interior (DOI)

Achievements in November:

- Continued tenders
- Zoo updates
- Some administrative changes
- Announced Ranger of the Month

Goals for December:
- Expansions to animal shelter
- Look into reimplementing original tender system

Department of Public Affairs (DPA)

Achievements in November:

- Distinguished and reinforced the grants between news and media
- Began the cycle of consistent events
- Updated event coordinator guide
- Caught up with event payments, applications, and misc.
- Hiring new employees

Goals for December:
- Introduce a plan for National Holidays
- Set up a weekly events schedule
- Return of Politicon
- Introduce a player outreach program in collaboration with the DOE
- Work collaboratively with the DOC and DOE to help connect players and businesses together
- This helps integrate new players into our community

- More Events
- Players’ Choice Awards.
- Ensuring the widely popular event remains present as a community touchpoint.

- More Media Content.
- Media content and postings allow for both the current player base and new player outreach.
- Returning to a normalized schedule for debates every election and ensuring a fair and neutral environment is present during them.International Events.
- Support of ideas like “wars” and the widely popular Olympics to strengthen cross-nation relations and player base growth.

- Town vs. Town Events
- Bringing events to towns, and not just the main city to boost town activity
- Expanding on the idea of sports leagues or national contests.

Department of Education (DOE)

Achievements in November:

Additions to staffing critical positions, assessment of future projects, started the process of gathering information and working with the DCT on the upcoming campus/museums overhaul, and assessment of productivity across subdivisions.

Goals for December:
The increase in productivity in the guide department, a large number of recipes for the professors, updating outdated guides/exams, and continuing pursuing the campus/museums overhaul.

Approximate Funds Spent:
The Department has spent $20,250 during this month.

Achievements in November:

Not yet so far because of the plugin downtime.

Goals for December:
We are still waiting for the system to come back.

$4,600 (all are animal murder issues)


Department of Justice (DOJ)

Achievements in November:

-Got some cases rolling
-Department became more efficient once again
-More employees recruited
- Ticket response time increased again

Goals for December:
Better efficiency and pizza parties

Town of Oakridge

Achievements in October:

Achievements in October:

Exciting updates are on the horizon! A whole new Aventura expansion is in the works and should be rolled out soon. The popular Aventura furniture auctions will continue, and we’re gearing up for events, including one major event currently in the planning stages. Stay tuned for more!

Goals for November:
Next month, you can look forward to the rollout of the new Aventura expansion, bringing fresh opportunities and spaces to explore.
