Establish Statute Of Limitations

The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Statute Of Limitations Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.

2 - Limitations

(a) Prosecution for a criminal offence must be commenced within two months of the date of the alleged offence.
(b) Civil action must be commenced must be commenced within two months of the date of the alleged dispute.
(c) Evidence can be used in a case from more than two months before the opening of a case, however, said evidence will not be used to charge someone, only as an exhibit of repeated criminal behaviour.
(d) Corruption is not subject to this statute of limitations.

(1) This Act may be cited as the “Statute Of Limitations Amendment Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.

2 -Reasons
(1) To provide a larger window for litigation.
(2) To clarify it's application in relation to civil action and criminal prosecution.

3 - Amendments
Subsection (a) will be changed to subsection (b):

(a) (a) Corporate entities and players must be charged for crimes within a period of 2 weeks of when the crime happened.
(b) Corruption is not included in this, there is no statute of limitations for corruption.
(c) Evidence can be used in a case from more than 2 weeks before the opening of a case, however, said evidence will not be used to charge someone, only as an exhibit of repeated criminal behavior.

This bill has received presidential assent and is hereby signed into law.​
