Amend the Constitution and Executive Standards Act​

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Supporting our Arts Act.'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by Senate President Endeavour
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by Senate President Endeavour
(5) This Act has sponsored by: Rep. BabySoga

2 - Reasons
(1) Education in itself is a liberal art, therefore, our fine arts should be paired with the Department of Education.
(2) The Arts has exploded in relevance and as an industry in itself. Our preservation of our culture is important and should be represented at a Department level.
(3) The arts encompasses so much more than the humble artist with an easel, it's about our social media content creators, our museum curators, our journalists, our professors... the liberal arts is about making representations as a society, about commenting and preserving. It's about our culture.

3 - Department Amendments
(1) For all intents and purposes, the Department of Education will amend it's name to Department of the Arts and Education.
(a) Abbreviated DAE
(2) For all intents and purposes, the Department of the Arts and Education Seal will be amended to:



4 - Application
(1) All references to the Department of Education in all law will be amended or construed as the updated department title.
(2) The Line of Succession is amended to reflect the same for the Education Secretary to the Arts and Education Secretary.
