Fix Job Exclusivity

The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Job Exclusivity Extension Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.

2 - Reasons
(1) The Job Exclusivity rule does not cover many of the jobs that now exist.

3 - Terms
(1) Added to Job Exclusivity Breach:
(a) “Selling wood without holding the job of ‘Lumberjack’”
(b) “Selling hostile mob drops without holding the job of ‘Mercenary’”
(c) “Selling written books without holding the job of ‘Journalist’”
(d) “Selling drinks without holding the job of ‘Brewer’”
(e) “Selling redstone circuits or building redstone circuits for pay without hold the job of ‘Electrician’”
(f) “Selling medical goods without holding the job of ‘Pharmacist’ or ‘Doctor’”

Job Exclusivity Breach

Selling ores without holding the job of 'Miner.'
Selling raw meats or spawn eggs without holding the job of 'Stockman.'
Selling raw crops without holding the job of ‘Farmer.’
Selling cooked foods without holding the job of ‘Chef.’
Selling weapons such as swords and firearms without holding the job of ‘Armourer’


First Offence: $100 fine + Removal of Chest Shop.
Second Offence: $200 fine + 5 Minutes Jail + Removal of Chest Shop.
Third Offence: $300 fine + 10 Minutes Jail + Removal of Chest Shop.

Explanation:
  • In Section 3 (b) the use of the term "mob drops" is too ambiguous. It could imply rare mob drops or mob drops like emeralds, potatoes, gold, etc. which all conflict with other job exclusivity clauses. I would recommend specifying which drops, or scrapping the clause altogether, considering that mercenaries already have the benefit of getting paid per mob kill.
  • In Section 3 (f) your clause implies that doctors have the same abilities as pharmacists. It is in direct conflict with DoH policy as Doctors cannot sell treatment outside of the hospital. I would recommend removing Doctors from that clause.
