1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Assault and Attempted Murder Amendment”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act was penned by Representative BubbaRC at the request of acting justice secretary JoanM999

2 - Reasoning
right now attempted murder is extremely hard to get evidence for from the position of both the citizen and police officer

3 - Amendments
(1) The law of attempted murder's description shall be amended to, "the act of attacking somebody with a lethal weapon, (A weapon with a heightened damage statistic, a gun, or a potion that does damage, with the exception of a hoe or a pickaxe.)"
from " Attempted Murder is the act of repetitively hitting a player, causing a loss of more than 3 hearts. Note: This law overrides Assault. "
(2) The law of assault's description shall be amended to, "the act of pointing a gun at somebody or attacking somebody with anything except weapon with a heightened damage statistic, a gun, or a potion that does damage, with the exception of a hoe or a pickaxe."
from " Assault is the act of hitting a player, causing a loss of no more than 3 hearts; or putting them in a place of danger, (such as pointing a weapon at them.) "

changed the definition of assualt to not include pointing a lethal weapon at somebody and instead include pointing a gun at somebody and clarified lethal weapon

You should provide the current text in red and the new text in green.

This bill is hereby vetoed.
Reasoning:
1.Attempted Murder and Assault are extremely similar and it would be extremely hard to track the use of lethal weapons and the specifications that come with it, on the recommendation of my DoJ Secretary I suggest you merge these 2 charges into one and simplify the wording of the bill.
