To

Amend the Constitution and the
Electoral Act

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Ballot Receipt Act.'
(2) This Act shall be enacted once the plugin has been amended and certified by staff.
(3) This Act has been authored by Speaker MissAndrist and Rep. CaseyLeFaye.
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by Rep. CaseyLeFaye.

2 - Reasons
(1) There have been constant concerns with how ballots are counted currently under the Electoral Act.
(2) The people of Redmont are entitled to a receipt ensuring their vote is counted.

3 - Amendments
(1) Section 20 of the Electoral Act shall be created as follows:
(1) Immediately after an individual has submitted a vote in an election, that individual shall receive a Ballot receipt containing:
(a) the time and date that the vote was submitted;
(b) election title; and
(c) vote preferences submitted.

This bill has been vetoed for the following reasons:

This amendment refers to Section 20 of the Electoral Act, which after the new Electoral Act, doesn't exist. This bill is a good idea, but that error should be fixed.
