Protect Consumers

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Consumer Protections Act”
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Bill was penned by representative BubbaRC

2 - Reasoning
As of right now there is nothing granting consumers protections for even the most simple of things

3 - Consumer Protections
(1) You may not sell a plot that is empty or has an incomplete building for more than three times what it costs to buy from the government with the exception of auctions which may start at maximum half the cost to buy it from the government
(2) You may not resell an item for more than double what you paid for them, so as long as you bought the item a minimum of a month ago unless you bought the item in order to supply a shop or if you are auctioning the item off

4 - Crime
(1) A new law under the commercial category of rules and laws shall be established under the name of "Breach of Consumer Protections"
(2) This shall be defined as "Breaching protections allotted to consumers in the "Consumer Protections Act""
(3) The punishments for this crime shall be as follows "Per offense: All excess money made shall be returned to the consumer and the perpetrator shall be fined $250-$1,000 at the court's discretion"
