The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Criminal Court Sentencing Act”
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
2 - Purpose
(1) The purpose of this bill is to provide further discretion to the courts in determining the punishments for crimes.
3 - Crime Categories
(1) If any of the following charges in the respective categories in the Rules and Laws are brought to the courts against a defendant, the courts may sentence a maximum to:
(a) 6.0 - Property & Building Regulations: $2000 Fine + 20 Minutes Jail
(b) 9.0 - Wilderness & Wildlife: $2000 Fine + 30 Minutes Jail
(c) 10.0 - Commerce: $20,000 Fine + Fine of Company Funds + 60 Minutes Jail
(d) 11.0 - Business: $20,000 Fine + Fine of Company Funds + 60 Minutes Jail
(e) 12.0 - Medical: $1000 Fine + 20 Minutes Jail
(f) 13.0 - PVP & Trespassing: $1500 Fine + 60 Minutes Jail
(g) 14.0 - Transportation & Roads: $1000 Fine + 20 Minutes Jail
(h) 15.0 - Miscellaneous Laws: $5000 Fine + 40 Minutes Jail
(2) The maximums shall not apply, and may be exceeded, in individual laws that specify penalties, in fines and any other applicable sentence, over the respective category amount.
