Change the Name of the Department of Arts & Education​

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'DAE Rename Act'.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by Rep. Omegabiebel.
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by Rep. MissAndrist and Senator CaseyLeFaye.

2 - Reasons
(1) The name “Department of Arts and Education” does not accurately represent the Department of Education, and is generally unpopular, even with the Department in question.
(2) To amend the Executive Standards Act.

3 - Amendment

(1) The Executive Standards Act shall be amended as follows:
“14 - Department of the Arts & Education

(1) The Department of the Arts & Education Education is charged with the following primary responsibilities:

(a) Advancing the knowledge, skills, and retention of the people of Redmont through arts and education initiatives, and furthering contributions to arts, academia, and culture.

(b) Maintaining a historical national archives to document and preserve national history.

(2) Leadership:

(a) Secretary of the Department of Education.

(b) Deputy Secretary of the Department of Education.

(3) Seal:”

(2) The Seal of the Department of Education shall be updated in line with this amendment.
