Repeal the Universal Basic Income Act​

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the 'Dump UBI Act.'
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Act has been authored by: Rep. GoldBlooded
(4) This Act has been co-sponsored by: Sen. xLayzur

2 - Reasons
(1) No more government handouts, the people must work for their money.
(2) It's not be the most effective way to address poverty comprehensively.

3 - Rescind
(1) Act of Congress - Universal Basic Income Act is rescinded.

This bill has been voted. UBI is a powerful economic tool that we may need in the future. While I believe that there currently isn't a need for UBI payments, this bill would remove the flexibility for us to use it in the future. I would sign amending the Universal Basic Income Act to lower the minimum UBI to $0 instead of $2/15 mins, so we can effectively pause it.
