A
BILL
TO

Make Transportation Free

The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the " Free Transportation Act January 2021"
(2) This act shall take effect upon signage

2 - Reasons: People should have the right to use freely the public transport, therefore, this bill is proposed. People, as for now, don't usually use the public transport due to the prices of it, so the Government is not making any money out of it, therefore, the public transport should be free so people use the service.

3 - All Public Transport in Hamilton City must now cost $0.

This bill has been vetoed.
Explanation:
  • The responsibility of determining the fees of transportation is vested in the Department of Construction and Transportation. This has been established as precedent with the Department being the ones who determine and adjust the fees as fit.
  • Recognizing concerns about the use of these systems due to the costs, the Department of Construction and Transportation has already recently reduced the fees of public transit - and it is regularly used by many.
