To
Stop the defence of new player for ignorance of the law
The people of DemocracyCraft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Ignorance of the law Act” or “IOTL Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) The Act has been co-sponsored by: Rep. Andrey ( Speaker of the House )
2 - Reasons
(1) Many new players that have acquired less than 40 hours playtime have broken the law and then on trail claimed to not have known the said crime was illegal.
(2) The defence of ignorance of the law should not be accepted when they could have been elected to government office within that time period.
3 - Definition
(1) Ignorance of the law
a. When someone commits a crime but on trial states they didn’t know it was illegal so how could they have know the act would be illegal claiming ignorance if the law, this isn’t a defence as you are liable for your action under law and your ignorance or negligences isn’t an excuse.
4 - Implementation
(1) No players after 24hr should be able to use a defence of ignorance of the law,
