RESOLUTION

To

Develop a Law and Resolution Spotlight for Democracy Craft

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress, do hereby formally enact this non-binding resolution, as a request to our Government:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Resolution may be cited as the ‘Law & Resolution Spotlight Initiative’.
(2) This Resolution shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Resolution has been authored by Rep. MathTech
(4) This Resolution has been co-sponsored by Rep. lcn

2 - Reasons
(1) An informed citizen is essential for the success of our democracy;
(2) With so many laws, nuances, and ever changing amendments, remembering all of them can be difficult, especially for new players;
(3) By highlighting former and newly passed laws and resolutions of Congress, we can enhance engagement among Redmontians;
(4) Similar server announcements have proven effective, such as DISCORD and GOV which connect players to necessary resources.

3 - Terms

(1) The Department of Education shall be tasked with expanding upon the current server announcements with the intention to spotlight prior laws and newly passed laws and resolutions of Democracy Craft. This could provide the section, title, a brief synopsis, and penalties for violation, format permitting.
(a) This would be in similar fashion to existing spotlight features; a suggested format for prior well-established laws could be “LAW >> 6.2 - Commercial Zoning: Commercial plots are height limited to 60 blocks, unless otherwise approved…”
(b) New laws and resolutions will be communicated by the Speaker of the House to the Department of Education to ad-hoc spotlight them. A suggested format could be “NEW RES >> Congress has just passed the ‘Law & Resolution Spotlight Initiative’ which enables spotlights for prior and newly passed Laws & Resolutions.”
