Show Members of Community Appreciation
The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:
1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Motion of Commendation Act”.
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) This Bill was authored by Representative pugbandit.
2 - Reasons
(1) Congress should be able to show its approval to members of community.
3 - Terms
(1) A Commendation Motion can be moved by any congressman in either chamber.
(2) The mover of the motion must make clear whether they want the motion to be carried through both chambers for a Congressional Act of Commendation or just in the Senate or House of Representatives.
(3) The motion will require a simple majority in each chamber to pass.
(4) If passed the motion, a public statement of commendation is made by the Speaker of The House. A commendation can be given to anybody in the community.
(5) This is simply an act of approval and carries no reward to a player.
