IN THE FEDERAL COURT OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF REDMONT
VERDICT
Snow_crp v. AndreaSP15 [2024] FCR 43
I. PLAINTIFF'S POSITION
1. The defendant failed to uphold the contract and pay their client for the work they had done.
2. The defendant had the Plaintiff do work for them and stopped them midway through had them stop and did not pay them for the work that had been done.
3. The defendant offered another job to the plaintiff and then had them open a bank account and did not pay
II. DEFENDANT'S POSITION
1. The defense disputes that a contract was entered into as it lacks key components that make up a contract as defined in the Foundation of Contract Law Act.
III. THE COURT OPINION
1. The Plaintiff and Defendant had an oral agreement of the simplest forms, i do something for you and you pay me money.
2. The defense cites the now rescinded Foundation of Contract Law Act which states that there must be a format, this is not the case in the Contracts Act.
3. The Contracts act sets out a test to see if a contract is valid, in this case i believe that the oral contract that was given meets that. It lays out an Offer, Acceptance of that Offer, It lays out the considerations, intent and capacity.
