BILL
To
Increase Town Autonomy

The people of Democracy Craft, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “Town Freedoms Act”
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(3) Authored by Representative LilDigiVert.

2 - Reasons for Proposal
Towns should be in control of their own aesthetics.
Putting a height cap cuts their legs like prosthetic.
They can’t go over 30 blocks for even cosmetics.
Towns deserve freedoms, we should be sympathetic.
Allow taller buildings outside Hamilton, don’t be pathetic.
Vote Nay on this bill, and you’ll regret it.

3 - Action

Repeal “-Build Height Limits. (No more than 30 blocks high, no exceptions) (Enforced by the DCT)” and replace with:
“-Build Height Limits. (No more than 30 blocks high, exceptions made on a case-by-case basis with approval from the local government & DCT) (Enforced by the DCT)”

This bill has been vetoed.

Explanation:
  • The Department of State and the Department of Construction and Transport would like the town height limit to remain 30 blocks high to maintain the town aesthetic and prevent towns from trying to compete with the city. In addition, the current town mayors are fine with the 30 block height limit, as it is already a tall amount of blocks.
  • While Congress may overturn executive orders, they do not have the ability to amend executive orders.
