Amend the Constitution​

The people of the Commonwealth of Redmont, through their elected Representatives in the Congress and the force of law ordained to that Congress by the people through the constitution, do hereby enact the following provisions into law:

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as the “United Government Amendment”
(2) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.

2 - Purpose
(1) Many real-life presidential democracies have a system similar or the same as this amendment.
(2) The purpose of this amendment is to ensure that the government is united and to maintain stability in the executive.

3 - Amendments
(1) Under “Order of Succession” changes “In the event that the President is incapacitated, removed from office, or inactive for more than 7 days unannounced” to “In the event that the President is incapacitated, determined to be unfit for office by the Vice President and all of the cabinet secretaries, removed from office, or inactive for more than 7 days unannounced

This bill is hereby vetoed.
Reasoning:
1) "Many real-life presidential democracies have a system similar or the same as this amendment." Democracycraft differs from real-life democracies based on the fact that short-handed political maneuvers will not land you in jail for life for example, which I believe this amendment could allow in the future with the server setting.

2) " The purpose of this amendment is to ensure that the government is united and to maintain stability in the executive." This bill and reasoning would lead to a very united cabinet I agree, but maybe not for the right reasons.
I believe this would encourage future presidents to value loyalty over competence when it comes to filling their cabinet and would withhold positions from political rivals out of fear of their presidency being undermined, leading to the cabinet being further politicized.​
